I'm very interested! The Cleveland Clinic says human trials in 3 to 5 years. They've been doing a great deal of this particular study at the Brigham and Women's Hospital At Harvard University. It's a very interesting study.

sadly it was only done on a trial base. The FDA said there wasn't
enough evidence that it helped and pulled the plug on further testing.
That was the last I heard about it. But possibly outside the US like in Mexico they are still doing it.

Are you talking about the Komen Foudation & 'emrbryo' stem cell research funds being pulled? The studies that are boing on at Harvard are using adult stem cells harvested from the patients own lungs. This was just updated in May. Going to Cleveland Clinic for my 6 month checkup next month. Will find out :>)

The places I did find doing this in the US are in Florida
so calif via Mexico, and Arizona,

from what I read the FDA has put up such a bitch that the doctors
have to word it very carefully what they do. Still dont know if the
funds have been pulled at harvard I didnt look far enough into it.

thanks all, the doctor spoke with is in Florida unfortunately I can't afford to have the therapy. Dr Matthew Burksd out of Sarasota, Fla. I know that kaput said Brigham and Womens may do trials and I happen to live near Boston, and I did go to that site (thanks kaput) and signed up for any trials that might come up. Thanks to you kaput. Love to all.

I've read articles and have seen video testimonies on the positive results of stem cell therapy. I know it doesn't work for some, but we've got nothing to lose but a few days and a few thousand dollars and if I can regain at least 10% of my lung capacity, I would be happier than a pig in the mud.

The only cost for this procedure that I could find so far ranged from 150,000 to 500,000

So far It is way out of reach for most of us.
Until it gets approval from the FDA my insurance wont cover it.
If you can find it done at a reasonable price Please share it with all of us.

I am going to keep researching for more info..sadly most of the info on this seems to be a year or more out of date.

I understand its done in Mexico with excellent results. I don't know the cost but I know its cheaper than US. I am going to check on it myself, I would love to try it. The cost is a big factor right now and it would be out of pocket in Mexico-
