I have a friend who loves her collapsible water hoses. This O2 tubing sounds great. I'm interested in other comments also.

That sounds so nice! My issue after walking around the house was the kinks that the 50 foot tubing gets.

so, now that i'm only on oxygen at night, I don't have that issue, as I only use when i'm sleeping, and take it off when I have to get up.

It works better for me - I do use swivel connectors...

Dollaraudit, I am not sure if this is what you are talking about, but I purchased two, very pricey coiled hoses that retract and they work pretty well if you are sitting still, or maybe in bed.
When you start walking, they do stretch out to the 15 foot length, but when you stop, it does not coil back it just kind of curls up. What I am talking about looks like a larger version of the curley telephone wires.
My main problem was when I had to go to the bathroom, my regular hose would fit under the door so I could have privacy, but this hose is to big, and not being on the floor, it would have to go thru the door about knob level, so no way for door to close.

I also tried sleeping with one, and since they are bigger and heavier and when the stretching eases, they curl back, I would find myself being pulled toward my concentrator each time I rolled over and relaxed.
Ok, Ya'll know I ramble on, so I will stop now. If this is not what you mean, and there is an honest to goodness hose out there that reels back into the concentrator,let me know. If not, and this is what you are talking about, I gave both my $35.00(each) hoses to my little grandson to play with . He likes to drive his matchbook cars thru the coils.

I googled "collapsible oxygen tubing" and was surprised to see this whole thread is on the internet everyone that posted your profile, hugbook everything in on the WWW. I logged off and googled again and yes it's still there.

you have me curious...do you have the amazon link that you can post so i can see just what you are talking about?
i use 10' regular hose with swivels in between so it doesn't tangle all up, but i tend to take it off to go to the bathroom or kitchen because i constantly step on the strung out tubing and reign myself in like a horse....i swear my dog thinks it's funny to follow behind me & step on it now & then, when i least expect, bringing me to a sudden stop...annoying thing, but i can't live without it LOL
i tried the 50' green one that they provide also & it tangled up so i don't get how the one you use makes a difference, dennis???

OK, I bought 2 of these and they worked well but had a lot of problems. Just thought I would throw this in, these may work for some folks, but it would take several to get from my concentrator to where I want to go, and they are expensive, to me.

Wow Brenda that is pricy. It must be the brand because my green tubing does not tangle I have 50' and when I want to go outside in the front yard I hook another 50' to it and it does not tangle. I wish I had not thrown the package away or I would tell you the brand. Next delivery I'll get the Brand name for you. Or just tell your provider you want one that does not tangle.

Grannie, please send me the brand name if you remember next delivery. When I tell my provider, they send me swivels, and say that is what is wrong. These curly things I bought because I read about them on the web, and got tired of stepping on mine, but soon found out they have problems of their own. I could have returned them, but Asher saw the curley thing and wanted to play with it, so one is in my drawer unopened and one the baby plays with.

PS, Also I ordered the soft nasal cannulas and they do not fit the swivels, so they are useless to me unless someone out there has an idea. they fit on the swivel, then slip right off, not tight at all. I am going to quit ordering online!!!!

My provider has to order my stuff, I'm the only customer that uses Salter 1616 cannulas. I will ask what brand that green tubing is and relay it to ya dear.

wow those look really good, brenda, but they are expensive so i'm glad you told me you didn't like them!
grannie; i noticed you said when you go outside that you put a second 50' legnth on---i was told NOT to go over 50' maximum on my concentrator because it can't push the right amount of air further than that---i hope you have a better concentrator if you are running that much line or one of those inline L meters.

No Jarca, I did not like those tubing!! Can you imagine the cost of you bought enough to get you from one room to another!! I even tried attaching regular tubing to the concentratoe, and the curley one to my cannula, but that defeated the whole purpose. So save your money.
They would do great like on a rollator that you could just attach the one and go on, but how would you bathe or get to the potty?
I also agree on the length of the hoses. My Sequal says to not use a hose or combination over 80' and the medical supplier says not over 70". I have the green hoses and want to check out what dennyGene is talking about, to see if it is the same as mine. But my green tangles up, so guess not!!
