Why can't I walk ?? I can sort of painfully hobble as far as the bathroom, bent over double, with awful pain in my back. Have been thru 2 orthopedic surgeons, 2 GPS, 4 PAs, a PAD specialist, and a neurologist. Have had 4 x-rays, 4blood tests and an MRI. No results have been shown or explained to me. Am 87, have emphesema, very hi and hard to control blood pressure and bad acid reflux but nothing I can find about any of those explains why I can't walk. Doctors just sort of mumble and pass me on to yet another specialist.I've learned to live with the emphysema, hard as it is, but not being able to walk is unbearable.
I am so sorry you're not getting the information and the help that you need. I would recommend asking to speak with a social worker or a patient advocate at the hospital. If they don't have one, I would contact your state's elder services office. That office can put you in touch with a local agency in your area who will be able to advocate for you and help you get the attention and information you need.
I read in another post of yours that you are writing books. I think that's a wonderful thing. What are the books about?
