my thoughts & prayers are with you.
i don't know about elsewhere, but here in utah they have on the news the days that the smog (they call it "inversion"---sounds nicer doesnt it) is so bad they have "no burn" days of wood & coal stoves.
and they tell anyone with asthma or any respiratory problems (COPD) to not go outside & they keep the kids inside at school.
so i assume it must do something.
