Hello, Well I started taking Singulair about a month ago. It took me awhile to realize why that I am feeling better. Didn't expect it. I guess because I have tried a few medications. Didn't think it was possible. I was able to carry groceries up my steps into the house. It felt great. My son took this when he was little for asthma, but I never knew that it had such potential. Has anyone else had good results and do they level out? I'd like it to stay! Thanks in advance, Nancy

i thought it was just an allergy med, but it helps your lungs also?
is your O2 stats better?
or does it just clear up your allergies better?
i'm interested to hear more detailed info on how it's helping and maybe it's something that i can ask my dr about.
so if those of you on it can explain how it helps, i'd sure like to hear it.
i'm having a problem now that allergies are starting, but if i take my zyrtec or claratin it's drying me out TOO much that i'm getting sores in my nose, i cant breath at night because i get TOO dried out and have to be awake sipping water all night, and i noticed that my spiriva doesn't help me cough up stuff when i take my allergy meds.....but if i don't take the meds i am so stuffed up i feel like i can't get any O2 thru my canula.
double edged sword so i'm REAL interested if this might be my answer.
(BTW: i have the emphysema, not bronchitus, so i am always dry & don't cough up the stuff in my lungs...thats where the spiriva is helping, it makes me cough stuff up)
gross i know, but i learn so much from others on here i'd sure like to learn more about this!
