Our lovely Joann died Sunday night. I don't know any details. She has not messaged me much since her transplants. I know that she had pulmonary embolisms, pneumonia, cmv, and ended up with a feeding tube. She said "I'm clearing a path so we'll know what to do if it happens to you." Oh how I will miss her

I am so sorry to hear of Beechnut's passing. I have not been on DS for a long time. She put up a great fight. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this. I was hoping that we hadn't heard from her because the transplants went well. So sad. We have lost so many this year.

Folks, I remember someone posting about Beechnutt's passing a couple ofl months ago. This post is from May 2015 . I had her on my friends list and we exchanged several emails. My last message , she said she did not post much because her doctor did not want her involved with things that depressed her, and that is exactly what my doc told me when I was on transplant plan. She was brave, and she was determined, and those two things should have pulled her thru, so I do not know what happened, but it is breaking my heart all over again. Sleep in the arms of Jesus Joann.
