I carry hand wipes in my pocket when going out and if I am going to the doctor, or any medical facility for that matter, I always carry a mask to slip on.
A friends' pulmonologist actually caught some bacteria from a patient and was sick and out of the office for 3 months.
I just use the simple earloop masks that are soft and filter out bacteria, pollen and dust. If it is windy or inclimate weather, I wear my 02 and just slip my mask over that.
I had to learn to wear the masks as I am claustrophobic to some degree and I found that wearing the 02 seemed to relieve the anxiety of wearing the mask.

I always carry hand sanitizer with me, and an ear-loop mask. Also, I'm a fan of using the germ-killing wipes (Lysol or Clorox) on door knobs, light switches, remotes and phones, and other places germs tend to accumulate. I don't have to spray anything that will irritate my lungs.
This is a great topic to share at this time of year. Stay well, everyone!
