I am thinking of purchasing an airsep freestyle portable oxygen tank - do any of you use this - what are your thoughts is it a goodsystem - any comments (pros and cons) would be greatly appreciated.

I am renting an AirSep and it is great. It is lightweight, easy to carry and operate. So far, I have not found any problems with the system. I took it to the Bahamas with no problems.
I highly recommend the unit.

mdlady - when you went to the Bahamas - is that the only unit you had? do you sleep with oxygen and, if so - how did that go? what about going out all day - how does that work

OK, my husgand is so worried for me!!! More then I am!!! Yes its a awwwwwwwww moment!!! smile
He has taken of looking daily, I think, for all the oxygen and beyond equipment I am using or will need like the end of the earth time of looking and gathering.

Well he last week took all the money we had and found a bargan for a concertrator!!! for only $200. Only thing this guy confess to us he got it from the GoodWell, ok, and decided I guess of selling it! OK and we purchase it from him.
My husband me convience that people died and they left their equipment behind and family sometimes donate them. So the GoodWell out here I guess has lots of equipment.
So now I think I will start going which I have anyway out here, but now keep a eye on them.
Right now my husband is looking for my tanks, and another unit like I have a self fill unit. He just miss 5 of the tanks I have but the smallest ones ONLY for $10/ yesterday!!!!!! O M G $300 is usually going price to purchase those tanks ea.

MY health insurance will be running out after JUNE so he is really working to get it all together before.
Then I go on medicade and you don't know how long it will be before I have any oxygen?
I was going to rent either the airsep or the evergo for my vacation. I had pretty well settled on the evergo.
Come the day to pick it up, the nurse said that my prescription was for constant not a pulse machine. I ended up renting a elcipse Sequal and it worked good for my needs.
I have heard that the airsep is a good machine, make sure you check with your Doc to see if the pulse dose machine will be right for you.

The AirSep was the only unit that I took. I slept with it, but I felt well and did not use it when I was out and about. There are 2 parts to the unit; one to plug into a wall socket and use and one to use on battery only. You can also get a supplemental belt to use if you need additional O2. I did not need it on the plane and if you travel by car, it can be plugged in to the car's cigarette lighter so you won't need to use the battery.
