im kinda new at finding things out hopfully you will bere with me,my doc is startin me on 2 prednison starting tommoro which is fri,i have to be on it for 1 days,im supose to have a apointment with a lung specialist on monday,do i need to change the date to when im not takin it,im concerned that the results wont be correct,thanks

Take the medication as recommended/prescribed. Medications, current wellness and past histories are taken into account when deciphering medical tests.

Make sure when asked you provide a list of EVERYTHING you are taking whether over-the-counter, home-brewed, or prescribed.

I agree. Take your prednisone and do not worry about changing schedules. Keep your appointment, and take a list of all meds you are taking, including supplements, and how often you are taking them. Also a list of questions you may want to ask the doctor.

take the med & keep your appointment with the pulm!

he is "the specialist" and will know if you need more, less etc, for the best care for 'this' disease.
just take a list of all your meds & your info for him so he can get you the "best" care now that he is seeing you.

for me there is long waits to see a pulm. so i sure wouldn't miss an appointment nor would i wait to take the med because by monday i can be real sick!

I too hate prednisone. I have gained 40 pounds on this. However, I do recognize that it DOES HELP. Please take all of your meds when you are suppposed to. I have had COPD, asthma, for over 3 years. I am only on stage 2 because I do everything I'm supposed to do. I know this year I will need to go on oxygen when scares me, but I believe that it can only make my life better.
