I guess my favorite thing was just being somewhere different and meeting people from all over the world and being "normal" if that makes sense? I could forget about the future for a bit and just live in the moment.
How are you doing? I know the cooler temps are a relief for many :)
So did you need oxygen??? How did the walking around affect you or did you get a wheelchair??? or have to do an Altitude Flight Test??? You said it all went well, just checking the nitty gritty bits.....
Hugs..
I really want to make one more '' last'' flight but very nervous to chance it again.
My problem is my bullea (air pocket) in my upper right lung. It is in the "large" category and we are still thinking over what and when to do a procedure on it. The risk is that it could rupture :(
My Pulmo was not worried a bit about me flying but I was a little nervous. He said no need for the altitude test at my stage. I still get around well so I feel very blessed. Basically the high altitude does not bother me but I can't go underwater because of the pressure. I do miss diving to the bottom of the pond :)
Do you think you could find a flight with only one layover? Those airports are so huge. I hope you get to go on another trip. There was a very sweet man on my flight that needed a wheelchair and they had it right there to take him to his next gate so that is always an option.
I refuse to let this disease control anymore of my life than I have to.
So I'm going to go and do until I can't anymore then I'll do something else :) My Pulmo told me to live life and that's what I'm going to do!
Hugs,
Annette
Wheelchair??? Yes they are available and Changi ...Singapore is huge but they got the walkalators and the shuttle train to get you to your departure lounge...others like ours in Melb...you need to walk......Back to the chair....I admit i get embarrassed/pride... to use one...so i walk...PLB....rest n walk till i get there..
Not sure bout flying but a nice long traintrip with sleeper or a cruise...Never been on a cruise yet...
Take care...Peter
Cruises are great! Sometimes the lines are long and you have to walk a bit to get onboard but after that there are plenty of places to sit and rest and as far as anyone knows it's because you want to, not because you had to :) You don't have to keep up with anyone else and can take as long as you want to get somewhere.
We have gone on several cruises and loved it :) sitting out on the balcony in a lounge chair at night and listening to to waves is a favorite.
You take care also and thanks for the chat :)
