Don't stop trying to quit smoking. They first diagnosed my SIL with Chronic Bronchitis but eventually decided it was PF. She was a smoker but quit at the first diagnosis.

But, please, sweetpea, be kind to yourself if you possibly can and put down those cigarettes. I know it's hard, but it's not impossible! Truly. I promise you you will feel better, breath better, and can smell and taste things better, too!

I have quit before....don't know why I'm being so foolish now when I need to smarten up.
The encouragement from everyone is great!!
I have scared lung tissue as a result of having whooping cough and several bouts with pneumonia as a child. I am long past being a child now..lol
So please read that site on it and hopefully you will have a clearer understanding.
