Maybe, there is always that possibility. But also, if you recently had tests done, they may just want to explain the results, which may not necessarily be bad news.
That is just my opinion. When I get my mammograms done they send a letter saying it was good or what ever, but once they sent a letter saying the results were not normal, and to come in for an ultrasound, which showed a harmless cyst.
My point being, if it were something bad, I think they would indicate that in the appointment, kind of like, this appointment needs to be kept .
We can pray all is ok, and they just want to talk.

Ladybug, From personal experience, none of my doctors will give me anything but the most routine of test result information, and very very rarely will they leave a voice mail. Even when I give them instructions to leave detailed voice mail they won't. Try to not be overly concerned today, so you can relax and enjoy the day. And give them a call 1st thing tomorrow. my dr's in the past have always had me come in to hear any results, good or bad.
my pulm is the only one that says; if it's bad i'll call you & if it's good i won't.
that bothers me, because i'm always afraid i might miss the call & not know----i prefere to get the results either way because then i know i got them.
(then i get copies also so i have a record for myself :)

Hope you enjoyed your day, and you let your worries and concerns, fall by the wayside. I would not think, if it was urgent, they would leave a voice mail either.

Called nurse this morning. She had gotten my message. She spoke with the surgeon. It was a mistake by PA. The appointment was not supposed to be scheduled. YEAH!

so does that mean that all is okay? or have they gotten the results yet?

Cardiology surgeon office called me to verify the appointment made with oncology on he 22nd. Le message with a nurse liasion Not sure if it was a mistake or not needed. PA had instigated the order and now has been cancelled. Results were supposed to be in about biopsies in 4-5 days. Appointment with surgeon for follow up on the 22nd. Not sure if things are good or bad. Just mixed up.

Gosh Ladybug2008, That has to be so frustrating when that happens, and the patient is just left in confusion!!! Well, I still believe if it were really bad news you would have been notified and not by leaving a voice mail unless it said to come in to the clinic. So since we are told no news is good news, let's go with that. You might call again Monday just to set your mind at ease and ask your dr, or the oncology nurse. Maybe they can not say over the phone, but they maybe can have it sorted out by then. Hope it all works out , please let us know
