Sorry I have not been around lately.
I have been feeling healthy with the weight loss progress. I still have some breathing issues, and I don't think they will go away, just because I'm getting healthy.
But, it seems like I'm breathing better, but sometimes after doing a bunch of stuff, I do need to sit down.
I'm still on my O2 at night with my bi pap machine. My face, and neck, have gotten skinner, so my mask doesn't fit like it used to.
I think I stretched it out, when my face was bigger, and now it is loose, so I do wake up a few times during the night to tighten the straps.
I see my PULM on 2/24/14, and hoping she will do another test, to see if I have to continue with the O2 at night, or if she will "set me free"!!!
I also think they may want to do another sleep apnea test. Val said at night, I fell asleep one night ,and I did not SNORE!
1st time for everything! I know with the weight loss, that people do rid themselves of their sleep apnea, and I'm hoping I can get rid of my nose/mouth mask along with the O2.
In closing, I have now lost 50 pounds, and feel good! I have been having some issues with my bad hip, thigh, and back, and was in so much pain the last 3 days, (was without my pain patches and pain pill for about a day), that I could hardly walk!
My journey is NOT over, by a long shot. I still have about 120 more pounds to go, and that will be a long road, with much commitment and willpower, and determination required on my part.

I Hope that you are all getting thru this long, cold , hard winter with not too many respiratory issues. The winters are so challenging for all of us! I stayed home, and cancelled 2 dr's appointments, because of the severe, bitter windchill temps, here in Syracuse, NY , in the past few weeks.
hang in there, and know that I'm here, maybe not on the board as much as I used to be, but in spirit, and you are all in my heart, and on my mind.

when did you get to drop the daytime 02? --- i envy you there, not having to lug it everywhere you go.
glad you are seeing your pulm soon maybe by then the weather will "allow you" to travel :)---i hope you get a "good report" there also....maybe she can "prescribe" you a new face mask that fits?
