I'm so exhausted, and my lungs feel like i'm coming down with someone. All i wanna do is sleep.
I'm calling the Dr tommorrow, get tired really easily, and my chest feels like it does when i've had bronchitis or pneumonia.
I"M SCARED!!!
My mother has been hospitalized for over a month now. I live with her, so i'm here alone. I have my buddy "Jackson" the cat, that watches over me.
I asked my cousin to watch him, if i go into the hospital again. I even packed a bag with clothes and my med list, in case i do go into hospital.
I'm not trying to be negative, but you just know that feeling in your chest?
The hospital dr's, said i have COPD, although the tests arent all done, i am careful, and kinda worried. (the pulmonologist i saw said, until we do the tests to confirm, we don't know for sure if you have COPD)
Earlier, i coughed, and it was loose, and then when i breathed in, i heard this loud wheezing and then it sounded like i was gasping for air, although i wasn't.
Definitely talked my self into calling dr tomm am, first thing.
who will pay the bills, if mom and i are both in the hospital, she already has a foot high pile of mail. So, i'm planning on taking care of whatever bills are there to pay tommorrow.

( I don't have insurance, so I let my last flare up go, thinking (telling myself) I felt better..............than happened in June and I have still not recovered from it..............prolly never will..........just let it go too long:(:(

Maybe your cousin could help out with other things as well. Certainly sounds like you have your plate full:(:(:(
It concerns me where you wrote, "the pulmonologist i saw said, until we do the tests to confirm, we don't know for sure if you have COPD". When I went to see my Pulmonologist the first time, I was diagnosed that very same day with spirometry testing. Additional testing may be required to reveal the extent of damage to your lungs from COPD, but diagnosing it should be a quick and simple spirometry test.
Best of luck to you and your Mom. Try contacting your local Social Services organization to see if you qualify for any assistance.

i worry so much about money that i've taken years off of my life from not caring for myself correctly and as they say, you can't take it with you.
now i've been suffering chronic pain because i didn't want to pay the price for what may need to be done test wise and fixing it wise.
i've finally had it!
money isn't worth the last days of my life being miserable.
there are programs that will help with finances

I didn't call the Dr, because the next day i felt so much better. No more coughing and O2 was good. Today i'm just sneezing, but feel that my congestion is clearing up well.
Feeling better this morning, than i have since my release from hospistal. Only bummer is, i broke a glass and stepped on a piece the other day, and have a cut on my foot! EEK!! Ouchy!!!

Spiromety testing is where you breathe in a device to measure the characteristics of your lungs. You then use a nebulized albuterol mix and test again to see how effective the medicine is. When you go through that testing, get a copy of the report from the tech - there are sites out there that explain what all the numbers mean.
Spirometry amd a ABG (Alterial Bloood Gas) test are parts of a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). The PFT is used as a general standard to determing how far along one is in the COPD journey...
