off topic

I need to be a little more specific here. Starting a thread that is a topic that is different than COPD & Emphysema (for our group). Most topics really do affect our lives so I'm not really clear on when to put OT except when it's really obviously off topic. Did that help? Because I'm still confused. :)

Jokes, music, recipes, general interest posts, etc.. Anything that does not pertain to living and dealing with COPD and emphysema. We are pretty lax here. I've seen other boards where they are far stricter because the board quickly becomes flooded with OT posts and board subject posts get lost in the push down of OT posts.
One can create a group for OT post fairly easily...

It is best explained like this.

If we are on a thread concerning concentrators and nasal cannula s, and you remember a thing about a trip you took, or for that matter any subject that is NOT about concentrators or cannulas, then you would start your post with OT (off topic of what everyone is talking about) then comment.

According to ADMIN, it is a courtesy thing for newbies, for instance if a newbie was interested in nasal cannulas and was following our discussion, then suddenly the next comment was about you having a leg cramp, they might get confused.

Admin says you do not have to put OT, but it is a nice thing to do for someone who is not use to our group and our frequent chance of subjects,

i to would rather chat about what works for getting better with copd..and be able to kid around, tell jokes, good stories and happier times..I am 64 and came down with copd at 60, luck me for i was a big time smoker, hell raiser, now paying for it..dang what a ride it was getting here and now finding people like to to share good days and maybe a bad day or to..
