Over the last year, my husband has learned more about COPD and has come to acceptance.
I think the most important thing for you to remember is that you need to do what's right for your health no matter what. If you don't have any support, keep looking and reaching out until you get it. If you are able and haven't already done it, get involved in pumonary rehab. Please let us know how you are doing in this....sending hugs!
Just remember we all deserve respect, dignity and compassion x x x
could it be your husband is scared & afraid of losing you and this is his "manly" way of reacting to that fear? hopefully if it is, it can be worked thru with therapy.
i can only speak for myself, but i know sometimes if i get scared; i cover my emotions with anger ~~~ it's easier to be angry for me than scared, but today when i'm angry i try to catch it and figure out the real reason.
his being an amputee and you always have been there to care for him may be very scary to him the thought of losing you.
whatever is happening, i wish you peace and happiness & will pray that everything works out well.
((((HUGS))))
Anyway, I meant no offense to you , or anyone else, I just did not make my self clear enough.
I do hope things get better for you,

But, unless I tell her, "I need to sit down, I am out of breath ,and need to rest', she doesn't really pay much attention to it, and it does not affect our relationship, Luckily!!!
I am sorry that your husband is not being caring, and supportive of your problems. He needs to know that you are a person with needs, and symptoms, that DO affect your life. Tell him how it really "feels"...when you are having trouble.
I think counseling is a great idea too..
GOod luck and I hope everything works out for the 2 of you!
Love will survive over anything....
