I have been sick for the past two weeks, Have done one dose pack and antibiotics but still hacking away. The cough is gone lying down but when I am upright it comes back with a vengance. I would except this is an exaberation I guess how long can this last?

I ask because i get coughing & coughing, only to finally cough up a small mucous plug---for that I take guaifenesin to loosen the mucous so i can cough it up.
do you feel better other than the cough? if not perhaps call your dr to see if you might need more antibiotics to completely clear up the infection.
(just suggestions that i have needed in the past--i am in no way a medical person so you might need to call & get a follow up with your dr)
