I just wanted to say thank you God for leading me to DS and the wonderful friends I have made here. Now I feel part of a big family, and I'm able to face my disease with a new and positive outlook. I pray you bless each and every one on their journey, and I pray that you will use me to uplift heavy hearts and weary bodies.

I also wanted to thank all my DS friends here. You make my days lighter, brighter, and filled with positive thoughts. Thank you for being there for me. I know I'm kind of new to all this so I doubt I could give much knowledgeable advice at this poiint, but if anyone ever just needs a shoulder to lean on, then I'm here for you. You can message me anytime. Thank you, my friends. You're forever in my heart.

When I was searching for a support group, I came across several that had really old posts, or would not respond , when I found DS, it was like finding a goldmine of wonderful, understanding, careing people. We are like a family, and we share the good and bad, and I also would like to thank all for walking with me down this road, and all the advice and tips and just good conversation.
Higginsp, you can give advice, just say what you know, or what is in your heart. Some folks just need to cry or vent, or they are scared and do not understand, so any word of wisdom or comfort from you or any member here is appreciated...This is a great place, and only God could have led me here, because I was ready to give up looking.

Higgs, Your most welcome, and you are so so right, this is a wonderful group and like you they have had a profound impact on my life. I have been part of the group for almost a year, and I swear I haven't provided any significant advise at all. But I have provided support, and support helps us all. I think I would be in the nut farm by now with out DS. You all are wonderful and caring. I have a home to go to and cry or what ever and someone will take you by the hand and lift you up.

Yes, you are all my 2nd family! I do have someone in my life now, but all of you just know what i'm going thru, and understand, and like everyone says, we just know where we are all coming from, and that's a good feeling.

We support one another, and understand when one of us says we're tired, and we don't hear, "What are you tired for, you didn't do anything today"...It's just "living" sometimes, that gets us tired or out of breath.

So, another thank you from me, and hope my goofy, comical posts bring a few smiles to your day!!

DS has been a blessing for me too! Wonderful people here who understand what we are going through and offer support and kindness. The greatest gift for one who feels so alone with it all since my mate died.

When my Don was still alive and living with pancreatic cancer, I accidentally discovered the Johns Hopkins Hospital board that was just for those dealing with pancreatic cancer - as a patient, a caregiver and, later on, living with bereavement. It saved my life. Now I feel safe on the DS board and can't thank you all enough for helping me on this journey too.
