Heart palpatations, if they are prolonged and frequent can definitely mess with your BP. Everybody has occassional palpitations. Think about the last time you were good and frightened,,,,Everybodies' heart skips a beat. However...frequent palpitations that occur for no good reason whatsoever are something to investigate. It can be very simple to fix. For example, I see you are on HCTZ which lowers your blood pressure and also lowers your potassium. Without sufficient potassium, your heart beat becomes irregular. This can be helped by increasing potassium in your diet, like drinking orange or citrus juice, eating more oranges, potatoes, tomatos, etc. or taking a potassium supplement. prescribed by your doctor.
What are your palpitations doing to you? Do you become more short of breath, have less endurance for exercise, feel dizzy and/or faint. Are you having problems with your vision, headaches, etc? High BP causes few noticiable symptoms. If tthey are still adjusting your meds, you should be checking with your doctor fairly frequently.
