I have lied about many things in my life, from small things to great big lies.  This has really impacted my marriage of almost 24 years and has destroyed any trust my wife has had in me! I have tried unsuccesfully to stop this by sheer willpower and have failed everytime.  I am reaching out here in hopes rebuilding my life and my relationship with my wife. I am interested in hearing from anyone about their experiences and work they have done on rebuilding theirs lives!

This is almost exactly what I am going through. My lying has destroyed the trust in my marriage, and it may not be salvageable. I am looking for support myself to put this habit/compulsion whatever you want to call it aside. If you have picked up any tools to help, please share. Otherwise, I am willing to listen.

You have my support! I am sorry it took me so long to answer! As I said in the other post, look for others to help keep you accountable and also support you in your endeavor in bettering yourself. It will be a difficult road for you and anyone in your family! There will be pain and happiness both! Just be honest with yourself first!! You have already started that journey by answering my posts!

Remember you have to take this one day at a time and often one hour or one minute at a time. It is going to be a long process and I wish I could say it will be easy. It probably will the hardest thing you ever do but in the end you will find rewards beyond your wildest dreams!
