Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

I've had constant ringing in my left ear for years, which has never been diagnosed. I've only recently been diagnosed with CVID. I didn't know the ringing could be related to immune deficiencies. I will have to look into that more and talk to my doc about it. Thanks for the tip.
Recently I went off IVIG and am waiting to go Hyqvia. My last dose was in August and interestingly, I noticed that the ringing in my ear has gotten louder since being off of the IVIG. I figured I was imagining it and thought I'd pay more attention when I go back on to see if I notice a difference. I find it a bothersome symptom because it never goes away, but maybe the Ig will help. I wonder if others have had similar experiences.
Hope you are doing well,

Interesting about the ringing in your ear and your IVIG. I haven't ever read anything that links Tinnitus to CVID, but maybe it has to do with the immune system. I'm going to the audiologist next week, so I will ask and let you know what I find out. It is SO very annoying, and yet it's not inhibiting my daily life. Thank goodness.
