Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

Is everyone still staying at the JW Marriott or did anyone get bumped tot he overflow hotel. Don't worry If you didn't get an email you are still at the JW. They had a huge amount of late reservation so they had to move SOME factory reps and scholarship recipients to a smaller Marriott, about 1-1/2 miles away and they will provide shuttles.

When is everyone getting in? I get in Wednesday night at about 7:00 and will rent a car for the week.

I am thinking about touring the Frank Loyd Wright facility / museum Thursday Morning, because thee is really nothing IDF doing until 2:00 at the earliest. If anyone is interested in joining me let me know. or for a late dinner Wednesday.

I'm going to be there and as far as I know I'm still in the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. I am driving so not sure what time we will be in on Wednesday - but were staying at a different hotel wed night.

kelli, I'd offer to take you and the fig-it to dinner, but I don't get in until 7:00. By the time I get my car and get to the hotel, it will be too late. Are you going to the volenteer dinner Thursday?

I believe I am but haven't received an itinerary yet. I called and was told there was a welcome reception from 5:15-6:30.

I am pleased that I did get an outfit for the Dinner & Awards - nice black dress capri's and a zebra top YAY lol and then Saturday I will be taking Jalen with me to Family Festival so I'm excited about that.

We were going to go to the Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium but its going to be 108 so I'm bummed. Not sure if I can handle that - pre-cvid and lung disease yes but now not so sure...so excited to go.

You have to remember Mark I don't know what you look like so you'll have to stalk me haha

You would have gotten an email invitation to the volunteer dinner several months ago The dinner is after the reception, The general schedule is published in the conference brochure that is on the website. Yes I'll look for you . . I'm going to try and change my photo to the one that appeared in the 2009 Talecris annual report. You'll see if if I am successful

wish i was going but after watching the fires and the extreme heat out there not sure i could handle it...it is hard enough in alabama ....az is even hotter!!! i hope they pick the next spot that is an easier environment on the not so healthy......
have fun and keep us posted would have liked to meet everyone maybe next time....
