Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
Good luck!
Ask him/her what they suggest..I know I couldn't take otc vitamins..Like glider suggests avoid fatty, greasy foods, coffee can upset you stomach too..
Foods that calm, pureed sweet potatoes, real mashed potatoes (no milk & butter) use non fat greek yogurt instead.. Non fat greek yogurt, no fruit, add a little fresh fruit or honey & stir..White bread..Scrambled egg (use cooking spray in pan, add water to egg instead of milk)
You can drink Ensure Clear, not reg Ensure they have a lot of fat & upset my stomach...
But First call your doctor..Stay hydrated, small sips of Gatorade or ice chips do wonders..
Feel better soon..
I have severe nausea a great deal of the time. My doctor gave me Ondansetron. It works pretty well but it makes me really sleepy. I usually nap after I take it. Since my stomach and my head hurt a lot as well, when things get really bad sleep napping is welcome.
