Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
Hope you feel better soon.
Pro: less sinus issues
less allergic reactions
first week i have a lot more energy
less headaches
Con: joint pain that has gotten worse since taking the gamunex
swollen lymph gland in neck that wont leave
lump on arm (calcium deposit??)
(the 2 above both appeared this month)
seem to be more sickly feeling these last 2 months
the 2 weeks prior to treatment I am getting more and more tired
When i look at it like this, it doesn't seem too bad, but there is a feeling in that me that is telling me to try something different. I think that even though I am so needle-phobic, I should try sub-cutaneous treatments. A regular influx may be what i need.
Has anyone had any experience with naturopathy regarding this condition? There is one woman in town who is recommended, and seems to be regarded as not being a "quack." I hesitate to try right now, as I want to know what my body's reaction will be to a slightly different treatment. I would love any info about that area of the medical world, as I know nothing.
Let me know what you guys think, about my little list. I appreciate the input and advice I've gotten from here, and value what you all have to say.
Thanks
if you are getting that 4th wk zap try going to every 3 wks also depending on your weight 31g might be a low dose...i have found many docs under treat when dealing with igg replacement....your dose should be calualated based on your weight ...then as time goes by your dose should be adjusted to keep you at your best.....going to sub q may be ideal for you...for me i am needle phobic...i have a port which has made my infusions so much more pleasant.....if that word can even be used when talking about a needle based treatment!
I am a person that enjoys healthy food and an active lifestyle (fencing!), but the joint pain has made it a bit hard to fence as effectively as I did even a few months ago. I plan to buy new footwear and see if that makes a difference with my leg issues.
My worst fear is that my children might have it too. My son seems to have an average immune system, but my daughter seems to get sick easily and stay sick longer. I hope that's just me looking for something that isn't there. I haven't said anything to her about it; my plan is to wait and see how things progress through the school year.
