Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

I have an odd question. What is your resting heart rate and blood pressure? I have a theory and need more data.
Background: I have lost 25 pounds by eating better over the last year and decided to add regular exercise this year to help me get to a healthy body weight. I currently weigh about 205 and just started with a trainer 3 weeks ago. I told him my normal blood pressure is 90/60 (down from 100/80 three years ago), which is not what you would expect from someone of my size and lack of exercise. He commented he would be interested in my resting heart rate so I took it over a few days and it was in the low 60's which is considered excellent for my age and gender. High 50's is considered Athlete.
I exercised yesterday with the trainer and this morning I feel like I felt on a regular basis before getting infusions. I slept longer, my body feels like it takes effort to move. Could I have been getting the effect of exercise by my normal daily living with CVID? I really can't think of any other explanation for my numbers. My trainer believes me but you can see the shock on his face when I told him my numbers. He has done this for 10 years and I am the second person who was obese who had such a good blood pressure and the only sedentary person with that low of a resting heart rate.
Any thoughts?

I am disgustingly out of shape, hadnt excersice in ONE year and my resting HR was 90 and BP 140/90. I have been working out slowly lately and my goal is a resting HR around 75 and BP 115/70. Man you are lucky.

i have really low blood pressure, i always freak doctors out it gets so low. i consider it a good day if my blood pressure gets as high as 90/50! my heart rate is usually in the 60's as well

My bp is usually around 90/60, sometimes a little lower and sometimes borderline high 130/90. My resting heart rate is around 80, but during exercise or stress or an infection it can get close to 200! It got worse after I had myocarditis when I was five, so my doctors thinks that caused/worsened it.

I am similar to Faith. My blood pressure is normal 110/80, but my heart rate can go nuts at times. Resting is about 85, but sometimes on exertion, like pushing a lawnmower, it can jump to 200 and I have to stop and let if slow down again.
