Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

Hi all. For the first  time ever I have developed winter allergies. I'm being treated, but my eyes are sore, swollen and itchy. I've heard that air purifiers could help. Has anyone tried one? Had it helped?

They work for me. You can ask your Specialist and/or go on-line to research. I'd wait to see your doctor first though.
If you do go on-line, try to read as many comments as you can. There are too many of those companies that make claims that can't possibly be true. Good luck.:)

Is your Immuno also an Allergist by chance? Chances are s/he has a good recommendation for you of a brand or model they trust and recommend to patients on a regular basis.

Hi Diane, I have had problems with dry eye , sore, burning , and itching . I am on allergy medication . I use eye drops when it gets bad and that seems to help as well as a humidifier to keep moisture in the air. Have you been tested for allergies and confirmed ? I have a lot of food allergies as well ; sorting them out has been helpful but takes time .

This has happened to me, too. It's driving me nuts although I take allergy meds. I am going to start with an air purifier. Good luck!
