I do not have this and haven't read about but will keep my eye's peeled for you :)

try rotation your sites for a few times see if they get better...put them as far away from there as you can. also have you tried using lotion on your belly after you take the band aids of I use aquaphor healing ointment it works great.

I'll try moving back closer to the center of my stomach. I really hope I don't end up with polka dots all over the place! :)

I have the same thing Tina. However I have known this is the case with me whenever I get a large wasp bite or something inflammatory the tissue remains a little bit darker than the rest. Is not new to me.
Yes, I have been bitten by wasps numerous times.

The idea that it's caused by irritation rather than the Hizentra makes sense Lisa. The spots that are darker are definitely located where I had the most irritation after an infusion. I'll stick to the sites that don't react as much and maybe try other areas later.

i wonder if any studies have been done to see if the meds under the skin will at some point cause permament tissue damage.....
not to mention the needles...i have an unnatural aversion to needles....i have also worried that at some point they will find that the meds will have caused tissue damage over time?????? just wondering......

I have notice I get more of a rash type thing from it in the winter then in the summer....

Also if you use band-aids you should look into that but the meds do stay under your skin for a few days and I don't know if thats the color diff you are seeing or not. I know one time I had a spot on my stomach that I didn't get the meds in the sub-q space it made a white spot that you could feel like a hard bump and when you tried to put a needle threw it it didn't want to go in. it took about 2months or more for it to go away. I really started to think it was going to stay there like pcon said but it did finally go away and its fine now. I do think that we will end up with some scare tissue over time and it even says with some brands its more likely to happen but just like with every thing else you have to take the good with the bad right?

Also if you think this is what is happening you need to look into changing the size of needles you are using. they come in diff sizes and so does the tubing.

I haven't noticed any tissue damage, unless you would consider the darkening damage. There aren't any lumps or thickening, otherwise I would be more concerned. It's just a cosmetic change, and like Tinks said, take the good with the bad, and it just isn't that bad.

I'm using 12mm needles. That's what they sent me to begin with, and I've never tried anything shorter. Is that longer than most people are using?

I just noticed that it's not just infusion sites. I had two other irritated sites do the same thing, a minor burn on my hand, and a pimple. When they healed both left behind darker spots. I may just be getting paranoid, but it also looks like my freckles are darker. I'll bring it up at my doctors visit next week.

oh I think I know what it is... its the thing that we have notice that we do have in common guys.

since starting my treatments if I get a cut it heals closed but leaves a pink scare thing same thing with large pimples I don't know if your skin is more of a tan color than mine but if it is then maybe it wouldn't be pink but more like a dark spot like you are saying also maybe thats what you are seeing from the needles? or bruising?
