Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
you just gotta laugh!
I can't imagine someone actually paying for a colon cleanse. I mean, why not just eat a pound of grapes or something.
Here's a fun thought for you... as you get older and older, you have less and less time to respond to 'the call'. Just like the boy scouts, 'Be prepared'.
I know I'm always beating my drum about acidophilus, but it keeps me from having the "colon cleanse" effect when I'm on antibiotics. I've been in that uncomfortable place too many times, it's nice to not have the problem anymore.
As for antibiotics, I just got switched from a 10-day course of Avelox to another 10-day course of cephelasporin. I spent all Saturday night in the ER with breathing problems. The doctors believe it's due to an antibiotic-resistant infection from the bronchiectasis. They considered admitting me, but didn't feel that it would be safe for me, and so they sent me home. I came to my boyfriend's instead because we (me, him, and my mom) believe that there's mold where I live that's contributing to my illness. I'm going to not be at home and try to find a safer environment for my mom and I to move to. In the meantime, I feel a little like a fish out of water...it's one thing to visit but another to feel like you can't go home.
{this is my sad humor} lol..
But we all need a good laugh once in a while..
thanks Mark!!
