Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
I finally met with my immunologist and not the NP today. He is concerned that my levels had dropped and I have had more infections. He is trying to increase my subQ from 8g to 10g, just need insurance approval. Wish me luck!
I also met with my PCP and she is supporting my disability claim. I hope everything works.
I took a trip to NY to see family. I was there for 2 weeks. infusion went well and made it through.

I understand about disability. I applied in July and already received my denial letter. It's wonderful you PCP supports you. Mine wouldn't write a letter, but said she supported me. I'm in the process of getting the info together to appeal. My immuno wrote a letter and I'm trying to get the rest to as well. I hope you have much better luck than I did! :)
I'm so glad you got to go to NY to visit your family. When you get back and have rested up, we need to get together again. I really enjoyed it last time!
