Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
In early May I took my SubQ on Wednesday and then went to my immunologist on Friday. My IGG level was 1050. My question is, when do you check your levels? Before infusing or after? Would I be better off having my levels checked the day before infusing or a couple days after?
Also they gave me readings for AST and ALT?? Are these important and what are they?

This is a great question as it seems a lot of physician's never mention the best day for a IgG blood draw.
The best day to test your IgG levels are the day before or the day of your transfusion before your transfusion which is considered your trough level.
Since you infuse on Wednesday's, your best day is Tuesday or Wednesday before your transfusion. Testing on Friday would give a higher number than is truly accurate.
In medicine, a trough level is the lowest level that a medicine is present in the body.
I go back in November and will schedule just ahead of my infusion.

I've only had my levels checked once and my doctor didn't tell me the best time to have it done. I read on here from other people to have it done right before I infuse, so that's what I did. Mine was 913.
