Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
I am one of the many people with a combination of issues on top of CVID. Along with CFS, Epstein Barr flares, and in remission with Non-Hodkins lymphona. The IVIG infusions have helped quite a bit, but I find lately my biggest issue is fatigue. My doctor wants to assure that I get a full nights sleep, so he prescribed me Ambien. He also wanted me to try Vyvanse to help with focus and energy during the day. I do have a history of depression, so I have been on a "cocktail" of Paxil and Bupropion now for several years. I noticed the past two days I have been having a "larger than usual" pity party, and feel quite depressed. Anyone experience that with Vysanse or Ambien?
What caught my eye about your post was CVID. I myself suffer from CVID, and I do not come across many people that do. I understand your fatigue. I myself suffer from fatigue. I take Ritalin, which is similar to Vyvamce. I sometimes get too caught up in my own thoughts when Itake Ritalin. I believe maybe you might be experiencing similar effects. Maybe you might be overthinking. Hope it gets better.
