who do i tell my best friend?

ill start off by saying no one knows im gay the only people that know are the people on here... my best friend is moving back home on the weekend and ive decided im going to come out to her. ive already told her that i need to tell her something when i see her because i dont wanna do it over the phone or internet and by telling her that i cant back out at the last second. im really nervous! what if she doesnt accept me or tells someone? im not ready for people to know yet! i also need advice on how to tell her! HELP!!!!

Well what kind of person is she? Is she socially conservative? You'll want to tell someone who won't judge you. I told my best male friend and my best female friend, both of whom are heterosexual. We've been friends forever and they are very supportive. So if your friend really cares about you, she won't deny you. Even if she doesn't agree with your "lifestyle" she won't judge you or look down on you if she truly cares.

i think shes the type of person who will love me no matter what but what do i say to her? how do i tell her?

Don't immediately spring it out to her immediately upon seeing her. But after you two catch up on what's been going on in your respective lives, then shift the conversation to a more serious note. Let her know that after pondering your feelings for some time, you are now sure about this.

make sure she knows that being gay (or lesbian if you prefer that term) doesn't define you. Debunk any myths she might have about it. And ask for her support in becoming more open about your sexuality. She should know that it's not as if one can choose their sexuality. It's just the way you are. And it''s a good thing because it makes you more unique.

So overall, just be calm and serious about the whole thing and I'm sure she'll understand and continue to love you.
