Coming Out Support Group
This community is dedicated to the challenges that gay men and lesbian women face, both between the partners in a relationship and from other influences (family, society, etc.). Find support and talk to others who may be facing the same challenges, and share your experience.
Your concerns about living a lie are perhaps more about that you need to do it for your own well-being it sounds like your not ready or comfortable with coming out yet so maybe hiding your sexuality is the best option for you at the moment.
Most likely your not the only guy that is gay in your year but others could be doing exactly what you are.
You might have already heard of other guys in your school that have been labeled as gay or have behaviors that indicate they could be gay so your not alone.
Does your school have any LGBT support services in place or does the city you live in have any services for LGBT youth?
If your not ready to come out yet maybe finding a support group in your area will help you come to terms with being gay and it also would give you the chance to talk with others that are going through the same thing.
Unfortunately the fear of how friends and family will react if they find out your gay plays a huge roll in how a person acts and what they are comfortable with others knowing.
Your friends like you because of who you are and the person you are and your sexuality shouldn't matter to your true friends and your family will hopefully support you when you decide the time is right to tell them.
You could also check with your school counselor if there are any LGBT services available in your area,
Talking things over with a counselor may help you as well.
You knew you were gay at a young age as most people do and unfortunately maybe felt it was a bad thing.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay and the day will come that you accept your sexuality.
Your still the same wonderful person that your family has always loved and supported and your friends still have a great friend that just happens to be gay.
