Coming Out Support Group
This community is dedicated to the challenges that gay men and lesbian women face, both between the partners in a relationship and from other influences (family, society, etc.). Find support and talk to others who may be facing the same challenges, and share your experience.
So many of you know that this past Summer I came out. Since then I have been coming out to those closest in my life. Well, I have told everyone I feel deserves it face to face and now I want to be out and be done with it; want the world to know I am an out and proud homosexual man. So I have been working on a video to post to my facebook account to tell the world who I really am. I thought it only right to post it here too. I will be posting it to facebook either tomorrow or Thursday (talk about butterflies in your stomach). I know not everything will be roses, but I know much of it will be great. Most importantly though, I know I am strong enough to handle it and have a network of support to back me up. So thanks everyone at Daily Strength, I hope you enjoy my video. I thank those out there who are understanding of people that are gay and who realize that this isnt something we choose. And for those people that have come out and are gay, I am very appreciative of you as well because just as you said Joe, you people have provided us with the encouragement to accept who we are and be who God created us to be.
How you summed up my feelings perfectly in that video and how I really feel is amazing! Would you mind if I shared this with others? Thank you so much again.
I guess this was particularly moving for me too because I lost my family when they found out that I am gay. it's a terrible thing to have happen to you and I can sympathize with others who have lost family members because a loved one comes out.
Perhaps some day we will be born accepted and then we wont have to come out at all we will already be out. Thanks again for your inspiring video. I am sure it took courage but I bet the rewards were worth it.

I am currently in the process of excepting myself.
&& up untill now ive been being really hard on myself about deciding whether or not i am fully lesbian so i can comeout.
But after seeing your video, you showed me that it is a long process
that cant be rushed.
