I wish my parents were more supportive

Don't get me wrong. My parents are incredibly supportive and understanding in many ways, and coming out to my dad went pretty well...However, we did have a talk today about where my life is going and discussing that more in depth...and he made it clear that while he still loves me, no matter what, he still thinks acting on homosexuality is wrong, and he's not going to support that lifestyle.

I can't say I didn't expect it. I just wish things were different. Now I don't want to bring my girlfriend up around him, because I feel like he's judging me for dating her, even if he doesn't say anything.

Of course, my Mom's another issue entirely. Still haven't told her, and I already have confirmation from Dad that she won't react well, so that's going to be...fun.

It takes time. He has to adjust into it a bit. If he is okay with you being you, and he sees you are happy with your girlfriend he will eventually just forget its a thing and move on. For now though it is a completely earth rattling thing to him. The image he created of you has changed and it takes time to incorporate that into his head.

Hi there, sometimes for parents it's kinda hard...my mom told me that her GOD didn't make her children gay...truth be told...doesn't change the fact that she is my mom and I am her child...i just have a different mind set like she does...we don't argue on that, I don't bring up any topic on that. I don't really talk to my dad about all this stuff...I know they care and that's enough for me...as far as support is concerned..after I came out, I was so comfortable with myself and I didn't really care what my parents, siblings or anyone else for that matter thought about me...
as long as u are okay with it, ure gf is okay with it, u are both okay with it, that's more important
