Hey KT, just curious if you have ever had a conversation with her about gay people in general besides when she flipped out. You don't have to tell her your gay if you don't want to, but the discussion would possibly get you your answer.

thanks i did talk to her but she always seems to get freaked out when we hit that topic it gets really fustrating at times

I had a crush on a guy I worked with when I was eighteen. He was a older than I was and he was a hunk! Everybody loved him. He was friendly, kind, slightly aggressive (not in a bad way), and had a fresh-out-of-the-Marines body. I wasn't out at the time, but being around him was torture. When I left work, he's all I'd think about. Seemed like that went on forever.
But, he was straight. I knew by the type of things he'd talk about, and who he was attracted to. I even asked him about his past girlfriends just to make sure. He was just "forbidden fruit".
Just because your friend becomes uncomfortable when you talk about gay stuff, doesn't necessarily mean she isn't though. You'll just have to get to know her better and ask more questions. Don't be crushed if it turns out she's straight though. Just learn and move on. Maybe you can remain friends if it's not too painful for you. Keep your health up!

I think you should just concentrate on your friendship and see if she is someone you can trust. If so, move forward and tell her your feelings.

I think a real (mature) friendship can't be ruined by things like this...
