what is your greatest fear?
i'm asking not to be nosy, but sometimes we need to say them out loud or write them done to help us confront them. maybe this can help give yourself and even others insight into their problems.

That I waited too long to do this and I'll never catch up.

my greatest fear is that i'll stay lost forever, unsure, and afraid.

My greatest fear? My greatest fear would be that I will never love myself... and that I will continue to seek love in other people as I'm too cowardly to embrace the beauty and perfection that lives in my own body, and my own heart :-) I'm conquering this fear slowly. I just joined an activist program called "Outspoken!", and my mission is to liberate young LGBT's... to have them declare their truths- and know that they'll be loved and supported. I also will be educating their peers, teachers and families on how to better understand the challenges LGBT youths face... How to learn to be more supportive... And how to develop fuller, richer relationships that will hopefully carry them through their lives. I suppose all of this outreach work, is actually healing to me. When I see it work in other people, I can see it working within me... And that is the greatest feeling in the world.

I'm terrified to be forever broken and end up like my parents
garnet01
You have the power to not let that happen.

Coming out for me is very hard. I have a wife and two lovely kids. I fear about many things as a result of coming out of the closet - that my family and friends will turn their back on me. I fear that I won't have the courage to be who I really am.

i think that's a fear many of us have here, myself included. I've only got half a foot out the closet, which basically means i've told 3 people, lol. i hope you get the support you need, either from here, or from friends to make the process easier on you. hold strong.

I guess I wouldn't say that it is my greatest fear but its def high up there. I'm afraid of coming out to my father. I know my mom will take it well when I tell her but, I'm not sure how my dad will take the news. Next I'm not sure how they will react when I tell them I have had a steady "loving" relationship with a great guy for the last year. My parents have met this guy but as my "friend" not my "boyfriend". They like him now and I hope they continue to like him after I let them know about us. I just hope they accept us and welcome my man into the family.

Greatest fear is that I wanted to long to come out and that I would never experience love with a man.
