Wow!!!!!  What an experience, scary and awesome all at the same time.  My best friend and I came out at Pride last weekend and the world hasn't split open and covered us with hellfire, so we are gping to beleive that it's all good.  Our intimate relationship is just over a year old now and I cannot imagine my life without her in it as my love and my lover.  Both of our moms are in full support of us, and have kept us so grounded in exploring our sexuality.  They don't hover us, but give us enough slack to learn many things on our own, but we know they are there close by if we need them.

Our dad's are supportive, but kind of concerned we are going too fast or have been led down this path by some who don't have our best interest at heart.  We both understand how they feel, "your daughter is supossed to be 'normal', not gay."  We have explained to them both, together of course, that our normal is being gay.  They are getting much better about it now than last year when we came out to them.

It was abso awesome how many people came up to us and gave their congrats for being this brave to come out as teenagers in such a conservative area of the country.  We don't think it's a question of conservative or progressive ideology, but of how we see ourselves and conduct our lives both together and in the different directions out interests lie.

Is our ages too young to think we can see the roads ahead and know we will be togehter forever?  Who knows.  Right now, today, our paths are parrallell and we are together, for and with each other.
