Colon Cancer Support Group

Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Was having a look through the members list and noticed there is a lot of new people who have not posted and whilst that is OK and you do not have to, please feel free to do so.

I have found this to be a great site to just talk about what is troubling me to have a laugh and occassionally to just vent my frustration.

There is a wide range of experiences here and from what I can see all are willing to share it if asked or needed, so please feel free to just say hi or ask a question or just tell us how shitty this disease is.

This site was a place of hope, and somewhere I could come and talk about how I was feeling through my chemo. Here there are people who understand and care. Please introduce yourself, vent, cry, scream, or just say Hi. We're all here leaning on each other. Welcome to the group.

It is great that there is a support group such as this where everyone knows what we are going through. Friends and relatives can be supportive, but it takes a person who has told that they have the C-word, to really understand how frightening it is.

I feel so tired, don't know if it is recovery from the surgery on 2/9, low hemoglobin or depression or all three. I still can't believe that I have cancer! Take care everyone. LA xx
