Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
I am getting 5-FU and a low dose of oxy and some steroid anti-nausea drip and a capsule of Emend with Compazine for breakthrough nausea.
The onc d/c'd the bolus 5-FU thinking it would help to keep my count up but I'm still crashing after tx. By crashing I mean in bed asleep for 48 hours and then shakey for the following 48 hours. I essentially miss 8 days a month.
So, they think it's the steroid. They reduced the dose and this time I crashed longer but not as hard. I was unable to do much for 5 days and even a week later just now getting back some energy.
Anyone else experience this?

Then I would take my daughter to her horse lesson on Tuesday so that is 5 days later... and I'd sleep like a bear in the winter in the car the entire lesson sometimes..
Always seemed to crash around 3 ish 4 ish in the afternoon.
Still do a bit sometimes...
