Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
This week is 'Stand up to cancer' week in the UK, every penny raised goes to the fight and a cure to this cruel disease, each night they have shown a short story with real people battling against this disease. I am a stage 3 survivor and every day i thank god for the second chance i have been given, only this week a friend lost her fight aged 46. I would like to ask other group members what positives has cancer given them, for me it makes me appreciate the smallest things in life, i don't take anything for granted, i've learnt to let go of those who are meaningless in my life and appreciate those who are there in my life. Just for a change what positives has cancer brought to your life?
Most of all it made me realise what a beautiful, loving, caring and supportive wife and children I have.
