Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
The short answer is that it did shrink the tumor. I went through 25 treatments with the 5-fu infusion. With the radiation I spent my days in the tub with baking soda. The radiation will burn your butt like a bad sunburn and the baking soda helps the skin. I felt my tumor the first time I went in for treatments. But my tumor was a little large, also I had a biopsy at each end. The best stuff for the skin I found was "baza cleanse & protect" made by Sween. If you feel the tumor as I did there will be medication for this but don't use the soppository use the cream to numb the tumor. hope this helps
