Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
They have 'ALL' participated in Breast Cancer awareness months, with walks and runs.
I was the one that got Colon Cancer? That may be the reason I never had a 'Chosen Cancer'
Sorry if that sounded kind of Caddy. Where I worked I took care of different kinds of Cancer.
Ever year here in this small town and towns across the country, we have 'Cancer Awareness' walks and runs too. I participated in the ones our facility sponsored and that was 'All' cancers. I am so proud of all my shirts, cups etc I received for doing the walks and runs. (I walked, but still did 10 miles most times)
I have never participated in only one kind of cancer. In fact I have not made much difference in the kinds of cancer. (They are all terrible beasts!)
jaynieG I too still have fatigue, but it is getting so much better!!! I do three days of re-hab a week and I can sure tell a difference in my stamina, but I really work at it.
Sometimes I hear remarks that 'Breast Cancer' is the pretty cancer and that we leave out the other cancers? (I don't really think we do, but sometimes I will hear these statements)
jaynie, I want to ride a bike again. (one of my goals)
Best of luck to you in your Race For Life. Will be thinking of you on Sunday.
