Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
Finished chemo on Jan 1st. Except for a "touch of bronchitis", today's CT scan was clear and CEA levels are normal. My onc doesn't want to see me until April and the follow up colonoscopy is scheduled for May.
I am still a bit in shock. I never thought I'd get here. It's been a long 9 months. I feel like everyone on this site has been a personal gift from God to help me on the journey.
