Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
GG, I'm very surprised about 'no scans'. Of course, my onc said yearly scans for Stage III.
My first scan post chemo will be late March/ early April. I go for my blood work on March 16, and see my onc on April 6th. I will also have my colonoscopy that week. I'm changing gastros because I spent 9 business days trying to set up an appt with him and phone tag irked me! Changing to a doc here in town.
