Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
Just got back from the Onc, this time he didn't tell me to go away for another 6 months, I had a CT scan 2 weeks ago and it seems since the one 6 months prior a "something" has grown at the site of the original tumour, at the moment the CT is inconclusive so I have to have a PET scan and another visit to the Onc.
On the plus side my bloods are all fine and I don't think I have any other symptoms and I still have a good appetite and not feeling particularly tired, all I have to do is get through the next 4 weeks of uncertainty.

Just curious - why four weeks? For me the waiting is always the toughest part.
Ugh...I hope you're not too panicky...please stay in touch. I hope they move your results up so you re not waiting on pins and needles.
