Remember that everyone reacts differently to chemo. I've had it twice The last time 3 to 4 different types. One of the chemos was a pump directly into my liver. There was only one chemo that bothered me. During this time, I was able to go skiing and live my life normally (except planning doctor's appointments). Make life easy on yourself. If you are a person who has trouble with I.V.'s, consider getting a port-a-cath. Plan that you may be more tired. Take it one day at a time and use this support group. Many people here can offer advise. Prayer has also played an important part for me.

find out if the appendix was intact when they removed and that their was no leakage into the abdominal cavity as this can cause problems at a later date with a condition called pseudomyxoma peritonei.

you might want to ask if there any suitable trials to go on and what they are and what the benefits might be, remember that not all trials are successful and that side effects of new drugs are not as well known.

I have been in this battle for seven years..what I find helpful is to keep a notebook and anytime I think of something I want to ask the doctor I write it down..it seems whenever I get to the drs office I go blank especially those first visits when I was terrified. Good luck and many prayers.
