Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
As of right now you are probably still in the hospital. I was cleared for surgery on Oct 11. I have a port also they put in prior to my first treatment schedule. Let us know that you are ok asap. Thanks for sharing your experience and wish you the best!
I had surgery about two months ago and I knew going on what the deal was. Mine was very low which involved the muscles. Sooo they can't fix that so I lose it. My rectum removed and sewed up with a colostomy on the left side. Lot of info you will have to digest at first. I hope you guys have a good team that are handling your case. I go to Moffitt in Tampa and they are super people and on the cutting edge of technology. Keep us posted
