Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Wishing all the best, G8
Did you find the information you wanted on HIPEC? My husband had it in 2007 for pseudomyxoma peritonii. There are specialists that treat PMP with HIPEC as well as surgery. PMP does not invade the organs typically nor the lymph nodes. It is a mucous that clings to abdominal organs and can harden. There is a yahoo group called PMP Bellybuttons that talks about everything from surgeons to chemo to insurance issues.
I wish you the very best!
As well as the yahoo group there is also a very active facebook group as well if you want to be added send me a message with your email and I'll add you as a friend and to the facebook group.
The facebook groups is a closed group so you can rant and post in a secure environment
