Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Just got the all clear from my annual colonoscopy. Some redness and mild inflammation around the surgical site, but was biopsied and no cancer or dysplasia

I was diagnosed at Stage 3b back in 2009, so if you're new here I just wanted to share that there is hope and healing does happen.

As of today, I am new to this group, and am posting on behalf of my husband who has stage IV colon cancer.....I was happy to see your report...Congratulations....I am very worried for my husband of 54 yrs....

I think that was quite thoughtful that you mentioned your first diagnosis so that we can benefit from learning from where you began your fight.

I think so many of us forget to do that when that's really what gives the rest of us hope.
